Last year Bandai Namco gave us Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, a Persona-flavored RPG that let players decide how much time they wanted to dedicate to breeding the perfect Digimon. Released this week, Digimon World: Next Order throws players into the deep end within the first 20 minutes.
The Digimon game featuring a breeding system so complex Richard Eisenbeis had to make a spreadsheet is coming to the Americas, but not in its original portable form. Digimon World: Next Order arrives on PlayStation 4 in early 2017.
Did your favorite Digimon make the cut? Let’s find out.
While a bit time consuming, it was relatively easy for me to get the digimon I wanted in Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth. In the new game, Digimon World: Next 0rder, it’s a whole lot more complicated. Like, “get your spreadsheets ready” complicated.
Well, I enjoyed the last game and the new anime. So let’s see how enjoyable the newest romp in the digital world will be with Digimon World: Next Order.
