I was there this AM, bright and early at 5:00am to check the cars and the vehicles. Here is my review of the concepts shown. This Concourse had a whole dedicated section for Ferrari’s 70th anniversary, plus featuring a ton of Packards and Isotta Fraschinis. Below is the cool stuff in the concept car area
What the hell is going on here guys? :
- The BIG one - AC compressor is kaput - approx $1000 parts and labor at my indie VW/Audi place - Can only drive it before 10am and after 10pm. It’s hot yo!
To any Jalop who wants to build good karma points - shopping for a C max hybrid or energi - please check the dealio on this 2013 with 70K miles-
From time immemorial (Meaning the early 90's) we have within our power to reprogram vehicles ECUs to give us better performance, remove limiters, add HP and torque that go beyond OEM specs, etc...
Yes, you heard that right! - If elected as Supreme Mod of the Universe and other duties such as Oppo Mod, everyone gets a pic of my Phaeton for their pots!
No more transferability for the extended warranty. Bummer
Don’t believe me? Dude has put some serious stuff on his ‘garage sale’ - So I guess he really doesn’t believe prices will continue to shoot up unabated.
Bought a 2002 BMW 330ci Coupe, 5MT, fully loaded with 130,000 miles 3 years ago. Now, 3 years later, with 161,000 miles, I sold it.
One of the perks of SV is to see the new self-driving cars all over the place (and see tons of the new Tesla SUV, which looks like an over-inflated Tesla sedan) So here is your future Google self-driving car to carry you everywhere.
After watching the movie, a nagging thought (of way too many) why is BB-8 so fucking useless? It has to be at least 20 year newer technology, right?
I bought my first VW Phaeton on 2008, and my Second on 2014. Ever since my first one, I wanted to visit the Crystal Dresden Factory. I’ve planned twice, only to have life destroy the plans.

Behold, the Mosler Consulier GTP, with a face its own mother would disown. But I heard they got their devotees. A 1991 3000GT put 220HP vs the 190HP from a 2.4 Dodge engine in the…
I’ll never understand why the Bay Area (with several zip codes among the wealthiest in the USA and the World) doesn’t get a proper car show. All we get is the leftovers from Los Angeles with irritable staff that is on their last legs, even if those legs are very attractive.
This weekend I attended the SF Auto show (AKA, the leftovers of the LA Auto show without any meaningful vehicles)
New VW CEO Muller is on board to continue building it. YAY! God bless those Asian buyers. I have more time to go to Dresden. Dr. Piech is smiling too, everything according to plan.
What’s the big deal? Here is one. See it every day.
The madness of King Piech was legendary - In the mythical tale ‘The Creation of The Phaeton - The Most Perfect Sedan in the World’ The 10 commandments were given from Herr Piech - and the engineers rebelled, whined and the word ‘unmöglich’ might have been retorted by a poor fool that now engineers VW Polos without one…
